Finalize a collaboration agreement that will benefit those students of the College who want to carry out their university studies in the United States, through the award of financial scholarships of a very important amount, among other benefits. This is the objective of the visit to the center that is being made today by representatives of Tusculum College of Tennessee (United States) Dr. Paul E. Pinckley, Vice President of Enrollment Management & Marketing, and Mr. Allen Vital, Head Men's Soccer Coach .

 

Tusculum College of Tennessee is one of the most prestigious and most traditional American colleges (it was founded in 1794). For three years, this institution has collaborated with the School San Fernando and with the summer program the Village. So far, our students could benefit from scholarships associated with sports practice to continue their studies at Tusculum. Now, the new agreement expands these possibilities and offers academic scholarships to our students, a great opportunity to expand their studies abroad in an institution of recognized prestige.

During the day today, representatives of Tusculum held various meetings with the direction of the College San Fernando to finalize the details of the agreement, they learned about the facilities of the center and offered an informative talk to the students of 4º of ESO and Bachilleratos to explain the training options offered by the institution, the requirements for access to university studies in the US, as well as the academic and sports scholarships to which they can choose. Dr. Pinkley highlighted the history of this university school that from next year will obtain the rank of University. "Our goal is not only to enjoy the experience of studying in the United States for four years, but we want to help you prepare for your future life," he explained. For this, Tusculum has scholarships for international students that reach 13.000 dollars per year, an amount that may be higher for students of the School San Fernando who want to do their higher studies there.

The vice president of the institution said what he expects students who decide for Tusculum: "a place close to nature, with a great history and offering personalized attention", this last aspect favored by the fact that it is about a small school, with a campus of approximately one thousand students. The sports section is also very important in Tusculum, whose teams compete in the main university league in the United States, which allows its athletes to compete throughout the country. Among other disciplines, their football, tennis and basketball teams stand out.
