The center's auditorium hosted on Thursday afternoon, 14 in June, a multitudinous act of awarding recognition to those players who have shone, both individually and by teams, throughout this season.

Sport is one of the pillars of the College San Fernando, a tool that helps us train people with healthy lifestyle habits and strong values, such as companionship, work and effort. The titles and medals are not the main purpose of the work of our athletes and technical team. However, with these wickers it is inevitable that good results will arrive, some of them brilliantly. Therefore, the School organizes its Sports Gala every year, which on Thursday 14 held its fourth edition in June.

The presidential table was composed by the deputy director of the School, Mr. José Luis Martínez Gutiérrez; the academic director, Mrs. Carmen Bueno; the president of the Asturian Judo Federation, Mr. José Ramón Díaz Maseda; the president of the Asturian Basketball Federation, Mr. Juan José Cachero, and the rector of the University of Oviedo, Mr. Santiago García Granda.

The opening of the gala was given by the assistant director of the center, who thanked the coaches for their "dedication and dedication", the parents for their choice of the school's sports project, and congratulated the athletes for their great season.

Next, the new judo belts were handed out to the members of the Sanfer Judo School and, subsequently, recognition was given to the athletes, both individual and from the different sections that have the sponsorship of Zumosol, which they have obtained medal in championships of Asturias or Spain. The federation presidents congratulated the athletes before the speech of the rector of the University of Oviedo that ended the act.

"It is admirable to see the satisfaction produced by tenacity, perseverance, effort and love to something as aboslutamente praiseable as sports practice, regardless of whether the medal is achieved or not," said Santiago García Granda. The rector highlighted the values of sport. "I wish they presided over each of our actions throughout our lives!" He exclaimed before explaining to the athletes that "perhaps without realizing you are drawing the path of your lives with the best of perspectives, since you are acquiring habits and a way to structure your lives that will be very beneficial for your future ". García Granda congratulated not only the athletes and technicians, but also the College itself for its involvement with sport and, above all, for "the responsibility of training people over any more practical vision", an objective that, he stressed, our center shares with the University.

The video of the gala is now available in Sanfer Channel.
