Good performance of the Sanfer in the zonal phase of Chess of the Sports Games

The School San Fernando It hosted a competition in which almost a hundred athletes were registered, although the real participation was greatly reduced. The blue tide was well represented with around twenty chess players of all ages.

In the 8 sub category, with an overwhelming majority of representatives of the College San Fernando, was winner Álex Labra, with a full of victories. It also takes the only place for the final awarded to the prebenjamines. The silver medal was for another local, Pelayo Blanco, completing the podium the Praviano Leo Durrer. Under 8

In the sub category 10, the avilesino Lionel Sierra started with the number one and kept it until the end. He won all the games with an improper clarity of his age and was the only one of the favorites that finished on the podium. He was accompanied by Alejandro Castaño, from Paula Frassinetti, and the player from San Fernando Yago Mira, who played a magnificent tournament and beat several more a priori players more experts. They are accompanied by Daniela Bernardo, also from Sanfer, as the best female.

Under 10

In the alevín category, the two favorites, Ángel Cuartas and Adrián Torío, occupied first and second place respectively, while Diego Carreño completed the podium. Sanfer player Carla Fernández finished in an excellent fifth position and will be our representative in the final phase.

Under 12

The sub categories 16 and sub 14 played mixed, resulting in Darío Bagüés the absolute winner and Juan Luis García the best alevín with an excellent second place in the general classification.
