The recent exams of the Baccalaureate Assessment for University Access (EBAU) have ended with excellent results for students of the College San Fernando. Its average score has exceeded the regional average by more than eight tenths, with an 7,887 compared to the 7,035 of all of Asturias, a clear indicator of the great preparation carried out at the Center by students and teachers.

These results are confirmed with those achieved by our students in the Baccalaureate, with an average score of 8,28 compared to the regional 7,73 (more than half a point difference), and the average grade of access to the University, in which our students have obtained a 7,363 against the 6,348 of Asturias (one more point).

By subjects, in almost all of them, the regional average score is improved, with particularly striking cases such as that of the subjects in English, where the difference is two points. The fact that the College San Fernando be bilingual center and work with the Cambridge English for Schools method have made our students stand out especially in the learning of the English language, with an average grade of 8,3.

Other subjects that have achieved outstanding results have been two of the most difficult, such as Biology and Chemistry, in which the regional average score is improved by more than one point. In the case of the first, a note of 7,87 has been achieved, while in the second the average has been 7,3. Following this trend in the branch of Sciences, both Applied Mathematics and Mathematics II have achieved better results than in the region as a whole.

In the area of ​​Humanities, highlights the score obtained in the subject of History of Spain, where our students have reached an 7,47, a point above the regional data. But above all, it has highlighted Art History, where the improvement compared to the rest of the region is in two points, with an average score of 8. Also noteworthy is the language of Castellana, where, with an 7,3, the improvement is half a point.

On the individual level, we must congratulate our student of the Diploma Program of the International Baccalaureate Marta Medina, who, with an 9,9, obtained one of the best grades in the whole region. Marta has played an excellent baccalaureate, as demonstrated by the 'José Martínez' Award - Banco Santander Scholarship with which this course has been recognized.
